Developed in response to the phenomenal success of its sister development training programme for women – Springboard, this powerful and pioneering development course has been successfully used by over 9,000 men across many different industries.

Navigator is for men who want to examine both their home and work life in order to identify practical and realistic steps to fulfil their potential. It gives the time and space to address challenges of modern living, stereotypes of masculinity, the challenges facing the 21st century man as well as mental health, well-being and stress management.

It’s delivered, to great acclaim through an experienced network of licensed trainers.

  • The programme gives you the time to reflect & share
  • Set achievable goals for now and the future
  • Take like-minded individuals on a transformational journey
  • Positively helps organisations change and reshape

The Navigator programme supports men to understand the world they are now living in, and then challenges their expectations based on historical male roles. Programme Overview

Who is it designed for ?

For the individual – the Navigator Development Programme is designed for men from all backgrounds, ages and stages of their lives, who want to examine their home and work life in order to take their next steps more consciously.
For employers – the Navigator programme enables them to develop staff to their fullest potential, is quick and easy to implement and can be a component in any diversity and/or gender initiatives. For even greater impact, organisations can run the Springboard and Navigator programmes in parallel.

What results can I expect?
The results relate to the objectives each man sets himself on the first workshop. These could be new qualifications, a promotion, new skills, a fresh insight or a massive boost of energy, motivation and determination whilst also encouraging positive working relationships.
At home and within your personal life, Navigator can help with nurturing key relationships, improving health, dealing with stress and gaining a more fulfilling work/life balance that works for you. Some men power up their career ladder after attending the Navigator development programme for men, whilst others stay in the same job but with an invigorated sense of purpose and a more positive attitude. Overall, Navigator aims to help participants with:

  • realistic self-assessment
  • skills assessment
  • identifying individual values and motivation
  • setting clear goals
  • communicating assertively and effectively
  • putting yourself across positively
  • presenting a positive image
  • improving work/life balance and men’s health
  • building better relationships

  2. Four action-packed one-day workshops spread over three months

What our clients say…

Excellent course for prompting you to take stock of things and understand where you are and where you want to be.  It also equips you to take steps to make things happen rather than just hoping that they will

Jason Mumford, Dorset Police

Navigator is a fundamental part of our programme to equip younger or more junior staff with the skills and confidence they will need for more senior jobs with us or elsewhere. It links both to our target of lowering the age distribution across the council and increasing the number of Staff from a BME background in more senior posts.
