What people say about the course

“I love the ethos of Springboard, we’ve got so much talent and want to make sure we use it, but also make sure that each individual feels valued too. Springboard does that and has been running in Virgin Atlantic for a long time with a great reputation. I jumped at the chance to become a licensed trainer!

The Trainer Licensing course itself shows the strength of the content of Springboard. There were eight professional women from different companies, ages, and backgrounds, all in a room together, but we were so strongly connected with the messages that run through the course, and that’s testament to the programme.”

Ceri Davies

Global Sales Operations Manager, Virgin Atlantic

“Before we started Navigator, there was an assumption that men could grasp all opportunities and had the confidence they needed, but it wasn’t the case. It meant a lot that Avon and Somerset Constabulary recognised that there are men who also need support and development.

I am so pleased of the impact of the programme and the influence I can have in supporting men within our organisation, such as helping them to achieve their goals, and become the best version of themselves. However small it is, I know that I’ve had some part to play in that process. I don’t think I could get anything more satisfying than that, it’s so rewarding!”

Robert Machin

Police Trainer, Avon and Somerset Constabulary

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a trainer license work?

A training license is a contractual agreement that allows an individual or organisation to deliver a specific training programme, often designed and owned by another party (like a training provider or certification body). So for example we can provide a training license for a person to be able to deliver our Springboard Work & Personal Development Programme for Women.

Here’s how it works;

  • Agreement with provider – Licensing Agreement which includes payment terms, typically consisting of an up front fee for the training to be able to deliver, materials and ongoing payments such as revenue sharing or royalties. Will also include the length of license and process for renewal
  • Access to training materials – Course content, materials and manual to be able to deliver the programme as well as branding/marketing to materials to support awareness
  • Training & certification – Train the trainer programme to bring the facilitator up to speed on the content, ground rules, practice delivery, organise programmes and accreditation
  • Quality control & compliance – Regular monitoring of the quality of delivery and any CPD requirements through effective reporting, as well as support with ensuring any material belonging to the provider meets the relevant standards and branding guidelines

A training license allows the licensee to leverage an established brand, curriculum, and reputation, reducing the time and resources needed to develop a new programme. It also provides them with the control and freedom to deliver the programme how and when they should like.

Training licenses can be highly beneficial when both parties are aligned on quality standards, values, and objectives, leading to a mutually beneficial partnership that enhances learning and development opportunities.

How long does the license last?

Our training licenses are 3 years in duration and can be renewed at the end of each term for a small fee subject to our quality assurance process.

We also have opportunities for currently licensed trainers to become licensed to deliver our other programmes at a discounted rate under our “additional pathways” route that doesn’t require attendance for the full training a newly licensed trainer would be required to attend. Typically, this will just be for the course content and delivery element.

What is the process for becoming a licensed trainer?

It is really important that any prospective facilitator or organisation looking to license a trainer have all the relevant information to hand to ensure that this is the right opportunity for them.

Typically, trainers or organisations will be familiar with Springboard either by having direct experience of the programme(s) we deliver or have been recommended. We strongly encourage anyone looking to become licensed to have this experience to truly appreciate the impact the programmes can have before committing to becoming licensed – it also generates a very good business case. We can support those who haven’t by attending one of our dedicated taster sessions or via our open programme.

The process of becoming licensed from there is very simple;

  1. We share an example licensing agreement and pre-course information so stakeholders understand what’s involved up front.
  2. Trainers will complete an onboarding form so we can understand more about the facilitator and their experience, following which will be an introduction “get to know” call with our EDI Training Programme Manager.
  3. Trainers will receive all relevant training materials and attend the trainer licensing programme so they can deliver the programme themselves, upon completion trainers will then be accredited.
  4. The licensing agreement is then signed, at which point the trainer is able to start delivering the programme.

The best way to understand this opportunity is to download our trainer licensing brochure and get in touch with one of friendly team who would be happy to help.
